FACTS RELATING TO USE OF FLUORIDE LEADING
TO LOSS OF TEETH

In those who use / ingest fluoride contaminated water / food and who are in the habit of using fluoridated toothpaste, mouth rinses etc., it has been observed that the muscles, connective tissue elements (particularly the collagen fibers) and the bone tissue undergo degenerative changes. It is a fact that at a much younger age, (below 50 years) the teeth would become loose in the bony socket of upper / lower jaws and the individual would tend to loose the teeth. Fluoride is one of the factors responsible for becoming edentulous. Many resort to the use of dentures whereas those who cannot afford to use dentures would lead a life without teeth and they would appear much older than their age and this is a very common sight in Indian villages which are endemic for Fluorosis.
